Provision vs. Vision

I.      Provision-Minded vs. Vision-Minded

A.     Genesis 1:29-30, 2:8,16 – In the Garden, God provided Adam with everything that he would ever need in the Earth

1.      Adam’s total focus is on the vision to Replenish the Earth because the provision was provided by God

2.      God said, “I HAVE GIVEN” – God’s the provider of Adam’s provision

a.      Prosperity has to be talked about and taught in church because if it’s not you’ll leave the church and try to get the prosperity the world’s way and you’ll be provision-minded instead vision-minded

II.     Free Provision

A.     Before Adam sinned the provision was free, but after he sinned he had to work for the provision and be his own provider (Genesis 1:29, 3:17)

B.      Jesus came to take us back to the place where mankind could operate like he did before the fall – FREE PROVISION (Romans 8:32, 1 Corinthians 2:12)

1.      Jesus did the work for the provision and now it’s our job to receive

a.      Romans 3:24 – You didn’t work for your salvation, the Holy Ghost or your healing.  They were all given by grace received through faith.  So what makes you think you have to earn your money, your house, or your food?

2.      Provision that’s free is not worked for it is received

a.      Romans 4:16 (AMP) –Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor)---If there is no faith, the promise cannot be given as an act of grace

b.      Exodus 16:11-Moses was sent as an ambassador to lead the children of Israel out of bondage into the promise land & the provisions necessary to do so, God was going to provide

1)       15-God’s providing the provision for them

a)      18-The Lord gave them abundance each day

2)       16-Gather-They are back to the place where the provision is free because God’s providing and they (man) is just receiving it

a)      There’s no toil, no sweat, and no struggle

1)       When the KOG showed up the toil was over and the gathering began

a)      Peter gathered those fish in with no sweat

2)       The fish represented the provision and the catching the men represented the vision; I believe that Jesus was showing Peter you don’t have to worry about provision anymore because as long as you’re working God’s system abundance will always be there so now let’s go after the vision

a)      Peter is out there toiling in that labor-based system and Jesus was getting him off that system to the system of God

b.      Sweatless provision

1)       When you work the Kingdom system you activate: 1) The Word (Isaiah 55) 2) The Blessing (Proverbs 10:22) 3) Faith (Luke 17) 4) Angels (Psalm 103)

a)      My labor is to work to word, the Kingdom and rest (Hebrews 4)

3)       You don’t have to sweat, struggle or toil anymore because we are going to teach you to gather everything that  you need

C.     One of the main deceptions of the enemy is he wants you to operate like fallen man.  He wants you to work, toil, and struggle for something that’s free.

1.      Satan’s deceived a lot of people into to working for a living, when the living is free (Ephesians 4:28); You don’t work for a living; Your work is your assignment

a.      Your paycheck isn’t the harvest (what you live off of) it’s your seed (what u sow)

2.      Satan’s had much of the Body of Christ out there working for provision that’s already paid for & he’s distracted a lot of believers from the vision.  He’s had believers out there working living from paycheck to paycheck to pay for something that’s already been laid up for you.

a.      The idea about the Kingdom of God teaching is to teach people how to receive the provision God’s way so that they can keep their mind on the vision, instead of being distracted away from the vision by working for the provision
