Sent To Do Something For Him

I.      There has not been enough emphasis and teaching on the reality that God sent me into the Earth to do something, to accomplish something

A.    God has something that he has chosen you to do, something he desires for you to do something he sent you to do-John 4:34

1.      God sent you here to do something for Him; We have been sent by God into the Earth; John 3:3,31,17:14, 2 Corinthians 5:2

a.    We are born from above, we are not of the world and we have been sent as ambassadors into the Earth to do something

b.    God has a plan for you to do something in the Earth for Him; God has chosen something for you to do

c.     There is work that God has given you (JBP-Finishing the work he has given me)

1)       ERV-My food is to do what the one who sent me wants me to do. My food is to finish the work that he gave me to do.

2)       Your tending to FATHER’S business (Work-Business)

d.    You are here to accomplish something not just live (Finish-Accomplish, complete); To DO the will-You are doing something

2.      You don’t get to decide what that is, but you have to discover what it is

a.    Will-What one wishes or has determined should be done, desire, pleasure, choice

B.     Jeremiah 29:11-God has a plan for your life

1.      This simple truth has not been reality to most believers and sadly many believers just tumble through life never even facing this reality, God sent me here do to something and I will never experience fulfillment until I get into it and start doing it

2.      Most of the only people in the body of Christ that are serious about their calling are those in full-time ministry, but much of the body doesn’t take their calling seriously as a weighty matter

3.      Most people just have this idea that I’m going to be a good person and do by best to live a good life

C.    1 Corinthians 12:18-God has a place for you: Somewhere he’s called you, something he’s called you to do

1.      You don’t pick your place you discover your place & the place God picks for you pleases him (Not your or your flesh, it pleases Him)

2.      Psalm 35:27-Your prosperity is what pleases him so God picked the place where you’ll prosper the most; it’s your prosperous place; God picks your place for you where you will flourish the most, prosper the most, excel the most & advance the kingdom the most

3.      God does nothing average or mediocre (Genesis 1-It was good) and he didn’t pick a place for you to go be average in; There’s greatness available and greatness potential in every place that God chooses for every believer

4.      When people don’t value their place and embrace their place, and don’t honor their place they won’t invest the time, the energy and the effort necessary to achieve greatness in that place and consequently they go unfulfilled

a.    How you treat your place determines the progression of your promotion

D.    Matthew 13:31-33,38-This is setting the members in the body and the local church you’re a part of is a part of the body so you have something to do in the church God called you to, but God also sends you out; The Kingdom of God is in you and God wants to sow you into the world with the kingdom of God on the inside of you and where you go the Kingdom goes and advances and takes over

1.      What has called me to do in the body? – What has God sent me out to do?

2.      How are you serving God?

II.     There needs to be kingdom purpose to what you do; you need to have kingdom purpose in what you’re doing

A.    So many people just think they can work where they want, go to church where they want, move where they want and never give much thought to what God wants
