else he went he did do mighty works; So even though he loved them same, they
were not treated the same
b. Luke 4:25-Is it fair that
God sent Elijah to one widow in Sidon and not all these other widows in Israel?
Is it fair that God sent Elisha to Naaman the Syrian and not any of the lepers
in Israel? Was God just in doing this, was he kind, was he fair? He was and
even though he loves them all the same, but not all of them are getting treated
the same
c. 1 Samuel 2:30-He honors
those that honor him, but those who don’t honor him will be lightly esteemed

coming in and supping with everybody (coming into covenant with everybody)
e. John 14:21-Jesus said he
that has my commandments and keeps them I will manifest myself to them, I will
let myself be clearly seen by him and make myself real to him; It did not say
that Jesus is doing this for every person and yet Jesus loves everybody; It did
not say that Jesus is doing this for every born again person and yet Jesus
loves everybody who is born again; He said the people who value my orders
enough to attend carefully to them, I’m going to manifest myself to them
– That’s different treatment and is it fair?
2.
God is just to give
everybody the same opportunity, but not everybody gets the same treatment
– Is that fair?
a. Just because God loves everybody does not mean that he treats
everybody the same; there are those whom he honors more, uses more, gives more

C. Should God treat
everybody the same?
1.
1

insignificant and trivial the same way he honors those who honor him and his
things and treat them as precious and holy and regard them with great esteem?

the same way as he does with people who honor him and trust him and obey him
and stick with him and submit to his authority?
4.
John

has said and what he wants done, the same as somebody he regards his orders as
priority one and as the most important thing in their lives?
5.
If God did treat
everybody the same He would be unjust and unfair in doing so
II.
God is going to give
precious things to people who value them
A. Matt7:6-Don’t
give precious things to people who won’t value them, who don’t understand the
value of them; is that fair?
1.
Some
people are not going to get the holy and precious and valuable things; Why? Because they don’t value them and they won’t treat
them they way they should be treated, with honor and respect
a. Holy-Most holy thing, The sacred thing, Hallowed thing, Special,
None like it, Precious
b. Dogs-Impudent man-One who doesn’t regard the opinions of others,
contempt of other people
c. Pearls-A word of great value
d. Trample-To treat with insulting neglect, to spurn (reject, snub,
slight, despise)
e. Proverbs 23:9-Speak not in the ears of a fool; for he will
despise the wisdom of your words
f.
MSG-Don’t be flip with the sacred. Banter and silliness give no honor
to God. Don’t reduce holy mysteries
to slogans. In trying to be
relevant, you’re only being cute and inviting sacrilege.
2.
Dogs
don’t know what’s valuable and what’s not valuable so don’t giving something
precious to them because they won’t treat it the way it should be treated; A
pig sees no difference in those pearls and the mud he’s standing in and if he
does then he values the mud more than the pearls and as a result he treats the
pearls with insulting neglect and because he too doesn’t understand what’s
valuable and what’s not he’ll tear a human to pieces
a. The problem here is the
won’t treat these things as holy because what they value or their value system
is messed up and they don’t understand what’s valuable and they don’t attach
the proper value to the proper things and therefore don’t give valuable things,
precious things, holy and sacred things to them
3.
This is a command from
Jesus, the head of the church, to not give precious things to people who don’t
value them; If He commanded us to not do this, then we know He doesn’t do it
a. According to Jesus people
who don’t value these precious things shouldn’t have them and won’t get them
from God; Is that grace? Is that fair?
4.
Luke
4-Elijah and Elisha are men chosen of God, sent by God, anointed of God, called
of God, belonging to God, God’s messengers and should God send these precious
gifts to people who won’t value them and respect them?
a. With the widows it wasn’t
an issue of provision, it was an issue of respect; With Naaman it wasn’t an
issue of healing, it was an issue of respect
b. The wisdom of God is
precious, should God give it to somebody, who won’t value it and won’t do it
B. Mark 4:24-25-If you don’t
value what you have been given you are in danger of losing it; On the other
hand if you do value what’s been given to you, then you are in position to
receive more
1.
There’s
a reason why one has and the other has not
a. For he that hath-If he has something it’s because God gave it to
him and God wouldn’t have given it to him if he didn’t value it and therefore
he has it because he values it
b. For he that hath not-If he doesn’t have something it’s because God
didn’t give it to him and God wouldn’t give it to him if he didn’t value it and
therefor he doesn’t have it because he doesn’t value it
2.
Why
would you give a great measure of thought and study to the truth you hear?
Because you value it and if you valued it like that then more is going to be
given to you
a. One of them honored it,
valued it and because of that he will get more of it
b. The other doesn’t honor
it and value it and because of that he’s not going to have it and along with
that he’s going to lose the little bit that he does have
3.
If you don’t value it,
you won’t get it because God won’t give it to you; Is that fair?
a. In fact what you have been given that you don’t value and
treat with honor you are in danger of losing; Is that
fair?
b. Thanksgiving is expression of honor, it says Lord I value what
you did, I value what you said, I value what you gave me and it positions you
to receive more because it shows you appreciate and value and treasure and
honor what He has given you
