Troubled But Not Troubled
I.
The spirit of faith never
allows the trouble to trouble it-2 Corinthians 4:8, Psalm 32:6 AMP
A. This attack, this trouble (Pressed hard upon, compressed,
afflicted, distress) is coming at them from every angle
1.
EVERY---Amplified Bible-On
every side, in every way (Spirit, Soul, Body, Relationships, Finances)
B. We’re troubled, but not
troubled
1.
This
trouble around us has not gotten in us; This trouble around us is not troubling
us
a. The trouble is designed
to get in you and govern you and effect what you believe and what you say and
how you act
2.
The
spirit of faith never let’s the troubles of the battle trouble the mind and
bring defeat to the mind
a. If you looked at the
outside you’d have to say I’m not winning, but on the inside I’m winning
b. Even though the attack is
coming from every angle we are still winning in the mind
1)
Distressed-Agony of mind
C. If you’re not troubled by
the trouble then that means with trouble on every side, trouble never got
inside and they had peace-John14:1,27
1.
They
didn’t find this trouble to be very troubling
2.
When
you live by faith it’s not that you don’t have trouble, but rather it’s that
you’re not troubled
II.
***The spirit of faith
recognized that the battle is not natural and war the enemy is waging is
against my faith***
A. 1 Timothy 6:12-The fight
is not about what you do or don’t have naturally, the fight is not obtaining
something from God, the fight is about this: what do you believe and will you
believe
1.
It’s
a faith fight, not a circumstance fight
B. Your faith is precious to
both the enemy and to God
1.
Satan
is not after you, he’s after your faith
2.
There’s
an enemy out there working 24/7 to try to rob you of your faith and he’ll use
any natural thing he can to steal your faith from you and he’s deceptive,
cunning, and crafty
3.
He’s
not after what I have or who I am, he’s after what I believe because if he
can’t get my faith he can’t get what I have
4.
We’re
troubled, but not troubled means the circumstances may be dark, but we still
have our faith
C. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5-This
war is not with the result you need in the natural, this war is with your mind
1.
If
the trouble never troubles you, then you will overcome the trouble
D. Isaiah 7:6-Satan’s first
level of attack is always on your faith
1.
When
faith is retained, the enemy will have no breach
E. John 10:10-The thief
comes not, but for to steal – To steal what? To steal your faith
1.
If
there is no robbing of faith, there will be no killing and destroying
2.
Mark
4:15-He targets the word because faith comes by the word and if you have no
word you have no faith
F. Ephesians 6:16-If Satan
can steal your shield he can destroy the armor; there’s nothing left to quench
his arrows with
1.
Psalm
64:3-Words are like arrows and you quench his words with the shield of faith
2.
When
the enemy attacks words are his greatest weapon because if allowed they can rob
the believer of their most prized possession and that would be their faith
3.
This
battle the enemy is waging is spiritual and his target is your faith
