The God Of Moses & Joshua

I.      Moses & The Children of Israel

A.    God’s whole purpose for getting them out of Egypt was to get them into the promised land; he wanted to take them from not enough to more than enough

1.     Genesis 15:14-God promised to bring them out with a great number of goods and possessions

2.     Exodus 3:21,12:34-36-They left Egypt with their gold, silver, and clothes

3.     Leviticus 26:3-10-God said clear out the old and make way for the new

4.     Deuteronomy 2:7-All that time in the wilderness they lacked nothing

5.     Psalm 105:37-He brought them out with silver and gold and none was sick

6.     Deuteronomy 7:14-15-Most blessed and healthy

7.     Deuteronomy 8:7-20-God brought them out of Egypt to get them here

8.     Deuteronomy 28:11-God said you’ll have an abundance of stuff

9.     Deuteronomy 29:5-There shoes and clothe didn’t get old

10.  Deuteronomy 30:9-God will make you abundantly prosperous

11.  God’s whole message to them was if you obey me you’ll be blessed (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)

12.  Does really care about us having possessions?

a.    Job 27:16-17-The wicked heap it up, but you’re going to wear it

b.    Ecclesiastes 2:26-The sinner gather’s it up to give it to the righteous

B.     If we were to ask Moses and the children of Israel does God want you rich what would he say?

II.     The God of Joshua

A.    Joshua 1:8,14-15-God wanted him to prosper and enjoy it

B.     Joshua 6:19-There was an abundance of silver and gold in Jericho

C.    Joshua 8:2,27-They got the spoil this time

D.    Joshua 11:12-14-They were taking the spoil of cities of Kings

E.     Joshua 22:1-8-They were to have very much riches

F.     Joshua 23-24-His departing speech at 110-24:13

G.   If we were to ask Joshua does God want you rich what would he say?

III.   The God of Caleb

A.    Joshua 14:7-15-Caleb go his mountain
