The Law Of Prosperity
I.
Spiritual Law
A. What is a law?
1. A law is anything that is
established. Established principles that work when they are put to work. That
when you do these things, this happens every time.
a. EX: They way the law of
lift works by thrust and drag; thrust and drag being the principles of that law
B. This Bible is spiritual
law; it’s fill with “if you do this, this will happen” (James 1:25)
1. There are principles that
govern every law
2. The law of salvation: 1)
Confess the Lord Jesus 2) Believe with your heart that God raised Him from the
dead
3. The law of faith/Victory:
1) Faith comes by hearing the Word 2) You have to believe you received 3)
Continue 4) Walk in Love
4. The law of healing: 1)
Hear Healing Words 2) Speak Healing Words 3) Believe You’re healed now 4)
Continue 5) Walk in Love
C. A law is something that
will produce the same results every time all the time no matter what as long as
the principles of that law are applied
1. A law is something that
has a predictable outcome
a.
If a person abides by certain principles there is a predetermined outcome
2. You're not going to apply
the principles of a law and get inconsistent results
a. EXAMPLE: Gravity - you're
not going to jump off of a building and float one time and fall the other
3. The only prerequisite for
a law to work is that the principles must be applied
a. The Law of Lift - Thrust
over drag = lift
4. 4 Things To Know About
Laws
a. 1) Laws are no respecter
or persons (Acts 10:34, John 3:15, Mark 11:23)
b. 2) Laws are no respecter
of circumstances (Jeremiah 17:7)
c. 3) Laws are no respecter
of time (James 1:20)
d. 4) All of hell can’t stop
them from working (Matthew 14:22-28)
5. Spiritual law higher than
natural law and will override it
a. David, Daniel 3-When
natural law says you can’t spiritual law will make it so you can
II.
There is a law of
financial prosperity established in the Word of God
A. That law of prosperity
says if you abide by certain principles you and if you do these certain things
you will prosper
1. People want to plump money
into a bucket and then prosper in abundance, but there’s much more that goes
into financially prosperity than just sowing and reaping. Sowing is one principle involved in the
law of prosperity, but there are many other principles that must be in place
for this law to work the way it’s supposed to work. People don’t mind plumping money into
the bucket, because that takes little time and effort. But when you start getting into the nitty gritty things of financial prosperity must people
want no part in them and that’s why they don’t prosper to the degree that I
would like them to.
B. There are principles that
govern the law of prosperity; There’s not one principle
1. We have to understand the
principles that govern the law of prosperity and then put those principles to
work in our lives
a. When all the principles
are in place you’ll see the law work the way it’s supposed to work
b. One principle of the law
of financial prosperity is giving, but that principle alone will not make the
law work the way it’s supposed to Work
2. Tithing is not the all
encompassing qualifier that causes people to prosper financially
a. There are a lot of people
tithing who aren’t prospering financially because they only got one principle
of the law in place
b. Don’t wear tithing as
some holy badge of honor that you gives you the right to prosper financially
(1)
Jesus
gave you the right to prosper financially through what he did for you on the
cross
(2)
Tithing
is holy and it’s one principle in the law of prosperity, but it alone is not
enough to cause you to prosper at the level God wants you to prosper
c. There’s a lot of so
called “tithing” and “giving” going on, but there’s a neglect of all the other
principles that make this law of prosperity work
C. This law of prosperity
will work for whomever will get involved in the principles that make it work
1. Questions???
a. Who can prosper
financially?
(1)
Romans
10:17-Somebody has to come and preach it, because without it being preached
there’ll be no knowledge or faith to act on
b. What’s going to keep you
from prospering financially? (Joshua 1:5, Romans 8:31, Jeremiah 17:7)
(1)
A
failure to know and apply the principles that make the law of prosperity work
(2)
EX:
What’s gong to keep you from being saved?
c. Will you be diligent to
find out what the principles of this law are?
(1)
People
are cut off because of the ignorance about the law (Hosea 4:6)
d. Will you be diligent to
put them to work in your life?
(1)
People
miss out because of the laziness to apply the law (James 1:20)
e. There’s a certain grace
for people who are doing all the know to do and making every effort to know
more where these laws are concerned
2. A failure to understand
spiritual law and the principles that make it work will lead to deferred hope
and a sick heart (Proverbs 13:12)
a. You thought something was
supposed to happen because you got involved in one principle of the law and
then when it didn’t happen your expectation didn’t match reality and that’s
when frustration sets
3. We’ve expected the law to
work, when the principles aren’t in place
a. EX: We expected the lamp
to come on when it wasn’t plugged in; you violated the law that makes it work
b. We’ve expected to prosper
financially because we tithe and that’s only one principle of the law
(1)
That’s
like having the lamp plugged in, turned on, but with no light bulb and then being
surprised when the light doesn’t shine
