I.      Satan’s spiritual strategy

A.    Luke 8:26-35

1.      He was driven of the devil and many devils had entered into him

2.      It got to this terrible place but it began with a choice to yield to the devil

a.    The devil wasn’t entering into everybody like this because everybody hadn’t yielded to him the way that this man had

b.    He was delivered by the supernatural power of God, but he could have got back in bondage to that spirit if he so chose to do it

3.      When he got delivered his mind became sound

a.    When that demon was oppressing him his mind was unsound and therefore demonic activity of every kind always has to do with the mind

B.     Many times we like to make Satan’s strategy against more “spiritual” that it really is

1.      Every attack of his, every attempt of his against a person’s life begins with words that produce thoughts – Every attack big or small begins on the level of words and thoughts (Genesis 3, Matthew 4)

2.      Words of Satan spoken to the believer not dealt with become thoughts taken-Gen 3:1-6

3.      Thoughts continually taken become strongholds in the mind

a.    Strongholds-Arguments and reasonings a person uses to fortify & defend his opinion

4.      Strongholds in the mind enable that spirit to set up residence in a persons life and give that spirit the authority to inspire everything that person does-Isaiah 26:3, Romans 8:6

a.    It can reach a place where that person seemingly has no control, even though at any moment they could resist the devil and see him flee

C.    Mark 5:8-Jesus got rid of that spirit with eight words (I only say what the Father tells me to say)

1.      Revelation 19:15,21,12:11-The word of God in your mouth is enough to overcome any spirit no matter how strong; speaking the word is how you swing the sword of the spirit

D.    You come into a community/family and the enemy’s goal is not just to effect one person, but to infect the whole area or family

1.      Demonic spirits inspire words to be spoken (this is how the curse is passed on) that if received by people will create strongholds in peoples minds and those strong holds in people’s minds enable that spirit to set up residence in that family or community

2.      There’s power in demonic agreement too; people start agreeing on the wrong thing and it gains strength and power

E.     Naturally when somebody comes to preach something different it stirs that spirit up that’s held residence for so long (it shows up in anger, strife, hatred, division)-Romans 10:10-16

1.      That spirit knows that if the word gets preached and people yield to it the stronghold will be broken and that spirit will be evicted from that place

2.      The victory turn around begins when somebody preaches the word

3.      There’s been this thing among churches to demean the pulpit ministry and not honor the fivefold ministry gifts (Like he’s the pastor, but we hear from God too); Because the enemy knows people get delivered starts with God sending somebody to preach/declare the word; and people who are not fivefold ministry can preach and be sent, but not without receiving from the fivefold ministry gift-Ephesians 4:10-12

4.      If people will take the word preached home and start saying what the Father tells you to say they can destroy that stronghold, evict that spirit and see victory in their life

II.     Poverty thinking will keep prosperity out of your life and you’re going to have to attack it with the Word of God

A.    Satan attacks your financial prosperity by trying to plant something in you to produce something in your life-Proverbs 23:7

1.      You get in life what you got in your heart; Your image has been working against you to keep money from you

2.      That’s why all this money is out there and many believers can’t seem to get their hands on much of it; because their image/belief is working like a two magnets of the same charge and it’s pushing that money away and keeping it from them

B.     Peter was in that boat all night, but he was in that boat with the wrong image (Luke 5:1)

1.      5-When Peter was out there toiling all night there were fish in that lake

a.    Peter had the image that sometimes the fish just don’t bite and sometimes you just have a bad day and don’t catch anything

2.      4-When Jesus got in the boat the right image got in the boat

a.    Here’s Jesus’ image: Launch out into the deep and let your nets down for a draught; We’re going to catch an abundance of fish and I don’t care what time of day it is

3.      When the right image got into the boat, the same fish, that weren’t coming to that boat at night, came to that boat in the daytime, when you’re not supposed to catch fish in day

a.    The reason was because it wasn’t about what time of day it was, it was about the image that was in the man and when the right image got in that boat the fish that where being pushed away before by the wrong image came now because the right image demanded that they come

b.    The image in your heart will demand that the natural change to line up with it

c.     Those fish had to come even if they didn’t want to because the image said so

4.      The fish were there whole time, but until somebody got in the boat with the right image the fish didn’t come; The money is there the whole time, but until somebody gets in the boat with the right image it isn’t coming
