Don't Take The Care

Foundation Statement: This statement sums up Babylon; Man taking care of it without God.  In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches to come off of Babylon and come onto the Kingdom

I.      Matthew 6:25-Take no thought for your life, Don’t take the care – Don’t engage Babylon or the world’s way of doing things which is man trying to take care of stuff and meet his own needs without God

A.    Matthew 6:25-Don’t take thought, Don’t have care, Don’t be troubled with care, Don’t care for your life, Don’t look out for your life, Don’t care for or provide for your life, Don’t seek to promote your interests, Don’t be anxious

1.      Taking thought- To take thought, To have care, To be troubled with care, To care for, look out for (a thing), Caring or providing for, To seek to promote one's interests, To be anxious

a.    Isn’t this exactly what they were doing in Genesis 11-Troubled with care, promoting their interest, looking out for themselves

b.    When man tries to care for himself or provide for himself without God, he’s in Babylon

c.     In the Kingdom, you are not your own provider, you are not your own caretaker-1Peter5:7, Psalm23:1

2.      Jesus is saying, “Where your life is concerned, don’t be your own caretaker, don’t be your own provider, don’t try to take care of things and meet your needs without God. Don’t become your own source and don’t look to yourself. Don’t engage that system where man takes care of himself.”

B.     Take no thought for your life (Don’t take the care); This is a commandment: DON’T DO IT

1.      Don’t take the care of your life, Don’t try to TAKE CARE of it without God

2.      Don’t take the responsibility of you, your life or your circumstances being taken care of; Don’t make yourself responsible for those things being taken care of

3.      When you cast the care you’ve made God responsible; When you hold the care you’ve made yourself responsible

C.    ***TAKING CARE is man initiating action to solve his problem, without inquiring of the Lord (in doing so man has deemed himself responsible as the caretaker for this situation)***

1.      It’s man doing something to solve something without inquiring of the Lord

a.    Even if the something man does is “spiritual,” if he does it without inquiring he’s in Babylon

b.    When man takes (the) care, he is trying to obtain the answer, the solution, the provision by self-effort

2.      1 Peter 5:7-Casting the care is what we are supposed to do

a.    Mark 4:19-Cares/Self-effort choke the word and cause the word to be unfruitful

3.      Because I’m not responsible for TAKING CARE of it, then when it comes to strategy regarding “IT BEING TAKEN CARE OF” I inquire of the Lord what to do and what to say

a.    Just because you’ve cast the care on the Lord and made him responsible for taken care of it, doesn’t meant that you have no responsibility where it is concerned

b.    In the Kingdom I’m not responsible to take care of it, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have responsibilities

4.      After you’ve casts the care on him, you’re not done, you have to inquire of him and find out what he wants you to do and what he wants you to say regarding that thing being taken care of

a.    Wisdom is the principle thing and if you don’t inquire of the Lord you won’t get it-Proverbs 4:7

b.    Cast the care and inquire

1)       You cast those cares on the Lord and then you inquire of him what he would have you to do and what he would have you to say

c.     2 Chronicles 20-You can’t inquire of him while you hold to the care

1)       They had to get rid of the care and inquire

2)       One of fear’s jobs is to make it so loud and chaotic on the inside of you that you can’t hear God’s voice

5.      Spend your faith, your spiritual capacity and energy inquiring of the Lord rather than waste it worrying and wondering

a.    “I wonder why it’s not working, I wonder why it’s not changing, Let’s try this, Let’s try that” – That’s wasted time and energy – Inquire of the Lord instead of playing around in that junk

b.    Areas of your life where the will of God is not manifesting you need to spend time inquiring of the Lord about it rather than passively wondering why it is the way it is with an attitude of acceptance

D.    This is more than Jesus just saying “don’t worry,” it’s Jesus saying don’t take the care of it and look to yourself and endeavor to meet your needs without God; that’s BABYLON-Genesis 11:3-4, 3:7

1.      When you “TAKE CARE” for your life you’ve engaged the system of the world (Babylon); it’s you trying to meet your needs without God

2.      “Don’t worry” doesn’t even begin to reveal what he’s saying here; He’s not just talking about having a good day; he’s talking about having a good life and how to live life

II.     The enemy is endeavoring to get you to try to TAKE CARE of it (in your own effort without God) because he knows you can’t (you can take the care of it, but you can’t take care of it)

A.    If Satan can get this thing (care) out of God’s hands and in yours, he knows you’ll fail because that’s Babylon (man trying to meet his own needs) and that’s what Babylon was created to produce, FAILURE-(Genesis 3:7, Numbers 14-How did that generation do at meeting their own needs.  Rather trusting God and doing what he told them to do and saying what he told them to say, they took care of themselves and died in the wilderness rather than going in the promise land)

1.      His strategy is to bring you a plate of cares and say what are YOU going to do about this? He wants you to TAKE the care; He literally is saying have a care

a.    Fear will push you to take the care b/c you’re afraid if you don’t pick it up it won’t be taken care of

b.    Fear will always drive you to Babylon; Faith will always drive you to the Kingdom

2.      He’s not just trying to get you to worry to ruin your day; He’s trying to get you to pick up the care of that thing and come back over into Babylon where you’re trying to meet your needs without God because in that place you can’t succeed

a.    To Satan it’s not just about you worrying; it’s what the worry represents and it represents that you’re in Babylon trying to meet your needs without God

b.    To Satan it’s about you being in Babylon not just about you worrying

B.     ***To have the care you have to take the care*** - To have care, To take thought

1.      Your Response is: No! I don’t want the care, I will not take the care, I refuse to have a care!

a.    If I brought you on plate something you don’t like how would you respond?

2.      If I don’t TAKE the care, then I don’t HAVE the care

a.    Don’t BE anxious, Don’t BE troubled with cares, Don’t CARE for your life, Don’t HAVE care-This is a choice I have to make

C.    ***When you resist the opportunity to take the care, and inquire of the Lord and do what he tells you to do, you ensure that IT will be taken care of-Daniel 3:15***

1.      Satan is trying to shove that plate of cares in their face endeavoring to get them to take the care of this situation, to take care for their life; he’s trying to get them to the place where they say, “We got to do something about this.” --- They wouldn’t take the care

a.    Satan needs you to take it (the care); His whole operation is hinging upon you taking the care

2.      There’s a carelessness to their response

a.    They said: You want to know if we’re ready to bow and who’s the God that’s going to deliver us if we don’t bow and you throw is in; it’s not even necessary for us to answer those questions.  Here’s what you need to know, if you throw us in God will deliver us, if you don’t throw us in, we’re not bowing; Do what you got to do?

b.    They didn’t try to take care of themselves, they are relying on God to take care of them; They didn’t take the care of this situation; They’re not engaging Babylon, trying to be their own caretaker and source-Luke 17:33

c.     Carelessness will be the result of completely relying on God to take care of you

3.      There is no fear of death because they won’t take care for their life or take the care of their life

a.    “Don’t take thought for your life” leads to no fear of death

b.    It’s not my responsibility to see to it that I live, that’s God’s responsibility; it’s my responsibility to do what he tells me to do and say what he tells me to say

4.      Satan wants to try to make you responsible for something that you’re not responsible for in an attempt to get you to pick up the care of something that you have no business picking up

a.    We don’t need to answer your question because that’s not our department; Our job is to not bow down and worship other gods; that’s what we’ve been told to do and say

b.    EX: Satan’s like a stubborn ignorant customer in a department store trying to get a department to do something that they don’t do rather than going to the proper department; I understand that you’re a little slow, you did have a long fall from heaven to hell so maybe you conked your head or something; So let me say this real slow to you, You’re asking me what I’m going to do about this and I’m telling you I’m not going to do anything about that because in this department we don’t take care of stuff.  If you want that department then take three steps to the left and go straight up just as far as you can go and they’ll tell you all you want to know about how this is going to be taken care of.  Now while I got you here, let me show you what we do in this department and then release fait on him!
