Fear Not, Believe Only

A LIFESTYLE OF LOVE AND FAITH

FOUNDATION STATEMENT:  Fear not, believe only is the process that believers must go through to end at destination called victory.  It’s a lifestyle of love and faith that enable believers to walk in the fullness of what God has for them. – Luke 8

 

I.      Fear not, believe only is the process that will access the anointing & manifest victory in your life

A.    The only way to live a life free from fear is to live a lifestyle of love (1 John 4:16)

1.      Anytime we see fear not, we can insert in there, keep the commandment of love

a.    Perfected love is the only thing that gets rid of fear

2.      When your frightened is not when fear started working

a.    Fear starts working the moment that you violated the law of love

B.     This is always the process that leads to victory 1.) Love/Fear not 2.) Faith 3.) Victory

1.      Luke 8:41-50 – 1.) Fear not 2.) Believe only 3.) She shall be made whole

2.      James 4:7 – 1.) Submit to God 2.) Resist the devil-1Pet 5:9 3.) He will flee

3.      Philippians 4:6 – 1.) Be careful for nothing 2.) In prayer believing that you receive let your request be made known unto God – Mark 11:24 3.) The peace of God will guard your heart and minds

4.      1 John 3:22 – 3.) We receive what we ask from him because 1.) We keep his commandments and 2.) We do faith – Hebrews 11:6

5.      Hebrews 4:14,16 – 1.) Come fearlessly to the throne of grace 2.) Holding fast to the confession of your faith 3.) So that you can obtain mercy and find grace to help

II.     Using love as a tool to totally eradicate your life from fear

A.    Fear is not okay.  It’s fear’s job is to contaminate your faith, so that you cannot connect to the anointing and see results in your life.

1.      Revelation 21:8 – The fearful keep bad company

2.      Hebrews 2:15 – Jesus redeemed us from fear, so we have no business with it

3.      2 Timothy 1:7 – God has not given us the spirit of fear

B.     A commitment to the lifestyle of love will keep ur faith pure & enable u 2 walk in victory

1.      1.) You make a decision of quality over the communion table and settle it that – You WILL to keep this commandment of love

a.    The Blood Covenant Ceremony

1)       Each man takes off his coat and gives it to the other saying this coat stands for “who I am, what I am, and all that I am, I give myself to you” – My authority

2)       They take off each other’s belt of weapons (girdle) saying, I’m giving you my strength.  Your enemies are mine.  Even if I die, I stand with you and lend you my sword.

3)       The walk of blood – Walk through the path of blood between the halves, twice through, stopping together in the middle saying, “Even as this animal has died, I will stand with you even in the midst of death.  Standing in blood I make promises that I will never break.”

4)       The promises are made by each one

5)       Each representative swears by God to keep his promises, making God the third party & witness to the

6)       The cutting of flesh

7)       The hand is lifted as the oath is sworn, with blood running down the arm, to keep the terms of the covenant “so help me God!” and the blood is mingled

8)       The seal of the covenant.

9)       The name change.

10)     We have become friends.  To be a friend a covenant must have been made

11)     The covenant meal is the grand finale.  The leaders are together. 

b.    Why do those covenant elements settle it? (Hebrews 6:16)

1)       The bread and the wine was the last part of the covenant ceremony & once those are partaken of, we don’t discuss the terms of this covenant any more

2)       When you settle it where this commandment of love is concerned your obedience to it is no longer up for discussion; You don’t discuss whether or not you should do this

c.     This is an act of your will that’s got absolutely nothing to do with your feelings

1)       You love him, by loving others B/C He first loved you, not B/C you feel like loving-1 Jn 4:19

2.      2.) You renew your mind to the commandment of love through meditation & confession

a.    2 Pet 3:1-You know it but it hasn’t been on the forefront of your mind

1)       You got to develop a love-commandment consciousness where you are conscious of it in everything that you do---How does that fit in where the love of God is concerned

b.    Deuteronomy 11:13

1)       16-Take Heed to what you doing so that you’re don’t turn aside from this commandment

2)       17-You don’t want to turn aside from this commandment of love shut up the Heaven or stop the anointing, and get no results in your life

3)       18-Therefore-Do whatever is necessary to get these words in ur consciousness

4)       21-So that the anointing can produce Heaven on the Earth

c.     Romans 12: 2 – All transformation begins with a renewal of the mind

1)       You got to renew your mind b/c this lifestyle of love is the total opposite of the way you’ve been trained to live

2)       You say something different to think something different, until you don’t have to say something different to think something different any more (2 Cor 10:5)

d.    Joshua 1:8 – Through confessing and meditation you’ll become doer 

3.      3.) Make a working agreement with the Holy Spirit (John 14:26)

a.    He’s your partner, He’s going to help you with this

b.    He’s going to bring to your remembrance what Jesus has spoke – The commandment of love

c.     You ask Him to stop you every time you do something that’s in violation to the commandment of love

4.      4.) You acknowledge it & repent on the spot when u violate the commandment of love-1 Jn 1:9

a.    He’s faithful – He’ll forgive you every time you come

b.    He’s just – He has a right to do this and he’s equipped to do this

c.     Forgive – You won’t be held accountable, and it won’t be held against you

1)       Isaiah 61:10 – Your rob of righteousness

d.    Cleanse – That means it’s like the sin was never there, there’s no evidence of it

e.    It’s blotted out (Colossians 2:13-14, Isaiah 43:25)

III.   Believing Only

A.    To believe only you have to first of all get the Word of God on your situation because it carries the anointing that’s going to set you free from the oppression (Romans 1:16)

1.      The power is in the Word

B.     To believe only you have to make the quality decision to believe (John 20:29)

1.      Thomas could have chose to believe as easily as he chose not to

2.      Go back to the communion table and settle it – I choose to believe this

C.    To believe only you have to spend time with that Word (Romans 10:17)

1.      You spend time looking at the word, hearing that word, and saying that word and that develops your faith to believe that word

2.      Faith to believe comes as you spend time in the Word of God

a.    Faith for financial prosperity comes as you spend time in the Word on financial prosperity

b.    No Word = No faith = No connection to the power

D.    You have to make a decision under pressure to give your attention to the Word (Proverbs 4:20)

1.      A lot of people got in trouble because they gave their attention to the wrong words under pressure (Peter, Israel)

E.     To believe only you have to hold fast to the confession of your faith (Hebrews 4:14)

1.      The confession of your faith is always the commandment of love and then you release your faith in the Word of God

2.      You are calling things that maybe not as though they were (Romans 4:17)

IV.    “Fear not, Believe only,” is the necessary process in every conflict to see the impossible accomplished

A.    Jairus walked out the lifestyle called love and faith

1.      Jairus told Jesus that if you come and lay your hands on her she will live (Mark 5:22)

a.    Jesus must have gave him his Word because he was following him

2.      Jairus’ first opportunity to get in restless tormented fear was when Jesus stopped to minister to the woman with the issue of blood (Lk 8:42, Mk 5:23-His daughter was at the point of death)

a.    He had the opportunity to be tormented here, but he has already spoken his peace, if you touch her she will live

3.      Jairus’ second opportunity to fear came when he got the message that his daughter was dead

a.    Notice that Jairus didn’t say a word

1)       A word spoken at the time could’ve been a confession of the Word of God in fear

b.    Jesus heard the evil report, but didn’t pay attention to it

1)       Jesus looked Jairus right in the eye & commanded him, Fear not, believe only & she’ll be made whole

c.     Believe what you already said about this situation

1)       Sometimes the vocabulary of silence is the best confession of faith that you can make

4.      Jairus’ 3rd opportunity 2 be tormented came when he went into his house & saw his family crying

a.    Fear and torment came three times to muddle up that life of love and faith, but Jairus turned them down all three times and where there was no fear there could be no oppression-Is 54:14

5.      Jesus went into the house and did two things released his faith and got rid of all fear

a.    Jesus released his faith; He called those things that weren’t as though they were; She’s not dead, but asleep

1)       He’ll do the same for you; he’s the high prelist of your confession of faith (Hebrews 3:1)

b.    Jesus got rid of all fear (Perfected love himself was casting out all fear)

c.     He literally through them out the way that love throws fear out
