Where Faith Lives - Part 1

I.      Where faith lives?

A.    What do you do from day to day prior to the manifestation

II.     Faith lives in the Word (Romans 10:17)

A.    The trial of your faith is coming (1 Peter 1:7)

1.      Trial-Proving or proof; Put it under the pressure of a test

a.      This could be a bad report or time going by and nothing changing

2.      If you’re not fed on the Word with a strong spirit when the pressure comes you won’t win; A weak spirit and weak faith won’t win

B.     You can have weak faith (Romans 4:19)

1.      19-Your faith gets weak when you spend time with the evil report

2.      18-He’s spending time with that which was spoken to him and not considering the evil report and consequently his faith got strong and we knew it was strong because he was giving glory to God

C.    Weak faith is wavering faith that won’t receive (Heb 10:23, James 1:6-8)

1.      People waver because their faith is weak and their faith is usually weak because of lack of time spent in the word

2.      People who win in faith tenaciously spend time in the Word of God until they are single-minded and fully persuaded

3.      When the trial of your faith shows up in should run into your fully persuaded faith

D.    As you continue in the Word, it goes from Word to truth (John 8:31)

1.      It’s through the act of continuing that the Word becomes truth to you and when it’s truth to you it’ll make you free

E.     People lose their fight of faith because of a lack of commitment to the Word of God in that area (Proverbs 4:20)

1.      Matthew 14-He spent time with the evil report and failure began there

2.      Numbers 13-One group of people considered the giants and the walls and they were defeated; the ones considered the Word and the God they served and they were victorious

III.   Faith thanks God like it’s already done

A.    Philippians 4:6 (KJ/AMP)

1.      Be careful for nothing-Love cast out all fear-1 John 4:18

2.      Prayer-Believing that you receive-Mark 11:24

3.      Supplication (Deisis)-Same word as fervent prayer in James 5:16 which means; A passionate, earnest, heartfelt, sincere; A person who has in his life and therefore pleads strongly, to beseech, to earnestly appeal

4.      Thanksgiving-Throw, cast, shoot (arrows), give thanks, praise

a.      My prayer and supplication have thanksgiving attached to them because I believe I received

B.     Praise and thanksgiving is one of the main ways you your faith engaged daily (Phil 4:6 AMP)

1.      I believe that I’ve received so I thank God like it’s done

2.      Thanksgiving is no more a feeling than love is a feeling; it’s an act of your will (Hebrews 13:15-16-A sacrifice of praise)

a.      A sacrifice of praise pleases him because it’s an act of faith

b.      It’s a sacrifice when you don’t feel thankful or want to be thankful, but you do it as an act of your will

C.    Thanks are in order when somebody has done something for you

1.      Many times people aren’t thankful because they don’t believe it’s done

a.      Thankful people are faith people (Deuteronomy 1:27-32)

1)      If they believed V29-31 they’d have been thanking God

b.      Faith and thanksgiving and unbelief and unthankful go together

1)      If you’re attitude is not one of thanksgiving, you’re not in faith

2.      Faith will praise and give thanks like it’s done, before it’s done (Josh 6:16)

D.    Praise/joy/thanksgiving is the bullet that you put in the big gun of faith

1.      I fire the bullet of praise/joy/thanksgiving through the big gun of faith on purpose at every negative report that comes (Habak 3:17, Job 5:22)

2.      1 Thessalonians 5:18-In all things, not for all things

3.      Psalm 8:2-Praise that’s done if love and faith is what stills the enemy

IV.   Faith talks likes it done

A.    Faith doesn’t talk about what’s going to happen (Romans 4:17 KJ&AMP)

1.      AMP-Speaks of nonexistent things as if they already existed

a.      It doesn’t say call those things that be not as though they are going to be

b.      Genesis 17:5-I’m calling you what you’re not as though you are it

1)      Abram gets the promise that when he is 75; God changed his name when he was 99; Isaac came at 100 (Gen 12:1-4, 13:14-16)

2)      When Abraham change his speech, what wasn’t coming to pass for 24 years came to pass in less than two years time

2.      One of the main acts of faith that we have is our words

a.      2 Cor 4:13-If you believe you have received then talk like you have it

3.      You have to talk in line with what you say you believe you’ve received

a.      Joshua 1:13-Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.

b.      Joshua 2:24-Truly the Lord has delivered Jericho into our hands

c.      Joshua 6:2-The Lord said to Joshua, See, I have given into your hand Jericho

d.      Joshua 6:16-At it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the Lord has given you the city

B.     Faith never talks the problem and always talks the answer

1.      Mark 11:23-He didn’t say talk about how big the mountain is

2.      Ps 107:2, Gal 3:13-Let the redeemed of the Lord talk about how bad it is-NO

a.      Talk redeemed

3.      Numbers 13:28-We can talk about the giants in the land or the Word

a.      Exodus 33:1-3, 34:11-They heard the Word on the situation, but spoke the problem; Josh & Caleb saw the same problem, but spoke the Word

1)      I’m going to look the problem right in the eye, but speak the Word

2)      Rom 4-Abraham was strong in faith because he didn’t consider the problem

b.      30-We are well able; He saw the giants and knew he didn’t look able

1)      What you see and what you say should not be the same (Gen 1,17)

a)     What’s keeping many people out of faith and out of victory is their saying what they see

2)      Your flesh has a desire to always communicate what is in the natural right now; that’s the way the it was trained in the world

a)     Don’t use your words to transmit information about what is; use your words to release your faith; say what you believe not what you see

c.      14:2-They’re murmuring in unbelief

d.      14:7-9-They saw the giants, but they’re speaking the Word

e.      14:28-As you have spoken, so will I do to you

f.       14:34-They didn’t get what God said, they got what they said because what they said was in opposition to what God said

1)      Maybe you’re not getting what God said because of what you say

C.    What you believe in your heart and say with your mouth you’re going to have in life (Mark 11:23, Romans 10:8-10)

1.      If you believe what you see, you’ll say what you see, and you’ll have what you see; If you’ll believe what God says, you’ll say what God says and you’ll have what God says

a.      Speak what you desire to come to pass; the end result

2.      Words are supernatural building blocks that either reinforce what is or create what ought to be

a.      The walls and giants their words reinforced; what ought to been is them in the land; Joshua’s and Caleb’s words created what ought to be

b.      You believe and speak and it either reinforces what is or creates what ought to be

3.      Zacharias (Luke 1:7-20, 28-38,45)

D.    The power of life and death are in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21, James 3)

1.      Life-Proverbs-18:21-Death and life are in the power of the tongue

a.      Power-Direction, control

b.      Life-State of Living

2.      Healing-Proverbs 16:24-Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones

a.      Health (marpe) – Healing, remedy, cure

b.      Bones-Any body part, one’s flesh and bone

c.      Proverbs 12:18-There is that speaks like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health

3.      Protection-Proverbs 13:3-He that keeps his mouth keeps his life: but he that opens wide his lips shall have destruction

a.      Keeps-Guards, watch, protect, preserve, watchmen, besieged,

b.      Proverbs 12:6-The mouth of the upright shall deliver them

1)      Deliver-Save, rescue, preserve, escape, taken away or out defend

c.      Proverbs 18:7-A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul

1)      Destruction-Ruin, undoing, dismaying, terror

2)      Snare-Snare, trap, trap that captures prey

d.      Proverbs 6:2-You are snared by the words of your mouth, you are taken with the words of your mouth

1)      Snared-set a trap, to be trapped

2)      Taken-to be taken captive, to be seized, caught, frozen

4.      Prosperity-Prov 12:14-A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth

a.      Satisfied-To be satisfied, to have enough, the filling and even overfilling of appetites and desires, have plenty, filled fill, fill

b.      Good-Desirable, better, best, prosperity, precious, wealth

E.     It’s one thing to talk like it’s finished, it’s another to believe it is finished

1.      Speaking faith words isn’t all you have to do, but it’s one thing you must do

2.      It’s not just about what you say, but it’s about the faith in what you say

F.     Don’t let the enemy see you sweat; no sweat

1.      Operate in the “Andy Griffith anointing”

2.      All hell might be breaking loose, but when you’re faith you know the end

3.      Be hardened to negative circumstances and evil reports (Isaiah 51:7,53:12)

4.      It’s discouraging to the forces of darkness when their plot appears to have no effect on you

V.    Faith is consistent and busy being the same until victory manifests (Heb 6:12)

A.    Faith is consistent and the same; it’s steady not wavering

1.      James 1:6-Faith is not up one day and down the next

2.      Hebrews 10:23

B.     Hebrews 13:8-Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forevermore

1.      Ephesians 5:1-Imitate him

VI.   Faith obeys God and walks in love (Galatians 5:6, Romans 1:5)

A.    If you’re not walking in love and obeying God you don’t have genuine faith; you have groundless expectation that will produce no manifestation

B.     You can’t just make faith confessions and not walk in love and obey God

1.      Genesis 26-Isaac don’t go down to Egypt stay here; Isaac could have went down to Egypt and made faith confessions and went broke
