I.      The importance of the anointing of God

A.    To be successful it what God’s called us to do and to live in victory it’s going to require that we know how to walk in God’s supernatural power in the Earth

1.      Natural power/natural means won’t be enough to get the job done and to live in victory

2.      God’s plan for you and I was to be in evil world, but be untouched by the evil that’s here; that’s going to require the anointing (John 17:15)

B.     2 Corinthians 5:21-We are ambassadors for the Anointed one and for the anointing; we represent that anointing in the Earth

1.      What is an Ambassador?

2.      John 17:14,16-You are not of the world, the same as Jesus is not of the world

a.      John 8:23-Jesus is from above and not of this world and that means so am I

b.      We are not from the land that we are in, we’ve been sent by God as an authorized representative to represent our King in this foreign land

3.      We are here to carry out the will of the one who sent us (Hebrews 13:21)

a.      We are necessary to the carrying out of God’s will

b.      EX: The President isn’t going to carry out his will in a foreign place, he sends someone in his place to carry out his will, while supplying the one he sends with the power, provision, and everything else necessary to get the job done; the ambassadors ability alone won’t be enough to get the job done, he needs the power of the president

4.      Apart from his power I cannot carry out his will

a.      His will is salvation, healing, prosperity, peace, victory and he’s given you the power to carry those things out

5.      I need authority, but I also need power that backs it

a.      The name of Jesus is authority; The anointing is the power that backs that name

C.    You are a supernatural being (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 4:24, 5:1)

1.      I am not natural having a spiritual experience; I am spirit having a natural experience

2.      I’m a supernatural being, sent from a supernatural place, who’s been given a supernatural assignment that can’t be completed by natural means

II.     The anointing

A.    The anointing is:

1.      The anointing is God’s super on your natural giving you supernatural ability to do what you could not do before his ability was on your ability

2.      The anointing is the ability to do anything possible or impossible (Philippians 4:13)

a.      The anointing is the ability to override natural law

3.      The anointing is necessary from winning (2 Corinthians 2:14)

a.      The reason more believers aren’t getting results in their lives is because of a failure to activate and release the anointing in their lives

B.     The anointing at work: Develop faith in the anointing by seeking it at work

1.      Mark 4:35-41-The anointing calmed this furious storm of hurricane proportions

2.      Mark 5:30-The anointing rose up and healed a body that had been sick for 12 years

3.      Mark 5:41-The anointing stared death in the face and overcame it

4.      Acts 5:15-The anointing showed up and healed people through his shadow

5.      Acts 12:7-The anointing showed up and got him out of prison

6.      Daniel 3-The anointing showed up in protective power

7.      Daniel 6:22-23-The anointing showed up and closed the mouths of lions

8.      2 Samuel 23-The anointing showed up and he slew 800 men by himself

9.      Romans 4:18-The anointing showed up and caused them to have a child

10.    Genesis 26-Isaac prospered in famine because of the anointing

11.    Genesis 39-Joseph should have died in that pit, but the anointing was on him

12.    1 Kings 18:44-46-It was miraculous that he could run 30 miles before a chariot drawn by fast horses in his effort to arrive at the place before it rained

III.   Many believers are trying to delegate to God the things he’s given them responsibility and authority over

A.    There is not situation in which this anointing is insufficient

1.      Genesis 18:14-There’s nothing that’s too great for God’s power

2.      Numbers 11:23-There’s no situation where God’s power is not enough

3.      Romans 1:16-This power will produce nothing missing and nothing broken in your life

B.     This power this anointing is in you

1.      Colossians 1:27, 2 Corinthians 1:21, Acts 1:8

2.      Through ignorance people have failed to understand what activates this anointing and what releases this anointing and then when they can’t activate and release it they delegate responsibility to God, that God has given them

a.      Prayer doesn’t turn the anointing on; the anointing is the power in prayer

b.      When you live a lifestyle of love and faith and pray it’s anointed

C.    When it was a time of crisis and Jesus walked in his God-given authority by tapping the power of the anointing through a fearless life of love and faith

1.      Mark 4:35-41-They delegated responsibility to Jesus, that Jesus had given to them

a.      35-There was supernatural power/anointing in that word to get them across

1)      They didn’t need him to calm the storm because they had the power to do it in the word he spoke  

b.      40-They weren’t commended for coming to him, they were rebuked and corrected

1)      They went to him to get him to do something he gave them authority to do

c.      41-He was another type of man; he was a superman

d.      He didn’t pray to God and ask him to stop the storm he spoke to it

2.      John 11:41-44-He didn’t pray ask God to raise Lazarus from the dead; he spoke to him

a)     John 14-He said it’s the Father dwelling with in me he does the work

b.      Once you know God’s will you use your faith to access the anointing to see to it that his will is carried out

D.    Eph 3:14-20-God’s only able to do according to the power of the anointing that works in you

1.      15-You’ve taken on his name; that’s authority

2.      16-That he would grant you to be strengthened with dunamis in your spirit by His spirit

3.      17-That the anointed one and his anointing by live actively in your hearts by faith

4.      17-That you would be rooted and grounded in love

a.      18,19-If you’re going to be rooted in love you need a working comprehension of God’s love for you and you’re going to have to know intimately the love of the Anointed One and his anointing

5.      20-God is able to do, according to

a.      He’s able to do according to the power that works in you

b.      If the power isn’t working for much in you, then God isn’t able to do much

6.      God doesn’t want to do it for us, he wants to do it through us, but he can only do it through us when we act like him

IV.   Satan’s whole kingdom and his whole operation is based on this anointing not working in your life

A.    Satan is the anti-Christ; he’s against that anointing (1 John 4:3)

1.      He has no answer for that anointing because greater is Christ in you than he that’s in the world

B.     Where the anointing is at work he isn’t (Acts 10:38)

1.      He’s got to get you to operated on the level of natural power if he’s ever going to have a chance to defeat you

2.      God’s only able to do according to the power that works in you and Satan is only able to do according to the power that’s not working I you
