The Oppression Connector

I.      Fear is the anointing deactivator and the oppression connector

A.    The anointing deactivator and oppression connector

1.      Acts 10:38-The were only oppressed until the anointing showed up

2.      Matthew 14:24-The moment Peter got into fear, the anointing shut off, and the oppression began

3.      Job 3:25-26-Job was oppressed because of his fear

B.     Isaiah 54:14

1.      Established in love and faith

2.      You’ll be FAR FROM oppression because you do not fear

a.      If fear isn’t there to shut the anointing off then the oppression be there

3.      Psalm 91-He’s far from oppression because he does not fear

C.    Fear is the oppression connector

1.      Proverbs 29:25-Fear brings a snare

2.      Proverbs 10:24-The fear of the wicked will come upon him

3.      Proverbs 1:26-27,33-When your fear comes

a.      You’re safe from evil because you don’t have any fear of evil

D.    Why was the wind boisterous? Why was the fiery furnace heated up seven times more?  Why is Satan like a roaring lion?

1.      Isaiah 7:1-9

a.      2-The heard Syria allied with Israel and the people were trembling in fear

b.      3-God sent a prophet to address the fear

c.      4-Pay attention, be quiet, fear not and don’t be a chicken

d.      4-Smoking firebrands/stumps-MSG-Their talk is big, but there’s nothing to him

1)      Satan’s the same way-He comes as a roaring lion-His roar may be loud but Jesus plucked is teeth in the pit of hell

2)      He can’t do anything in your life without your permission and without you getting in fear; that’s why he has to roar loud because he has to get you into fear to win

3)      He roared loud with Peter and got him, he roared loud at the three Hebrews and lost

a)     What effect does his roar have on you?

e.      6-The enemy wanted to get God’s people in fear

f.       9-You have to believe to access the anointing and win

2.      Acts 12:1-7-Peter, the night before he was to be executed, was sleeping free from fear

a.      Psalm 127-It’s useless to stay up late feeding on the bread of sorrows

3.      Be still and know that he is God

a.      1 Thessalonians 5:8-Be calm and collected in spirit by putting on the breastplate of love and faith

b.      1 John 4:18-Fear has torment

c.      You get over here and major on the commandment of love and from the platform of love release your faith and you’ll live a care-free life where you’re accessing the anointing and winning

E.     Satan’s whole kingdom runs on this stuff called fear

1.      He just has a hard time with man or woman won’t get into fear; it’s as tough for Satan to deal with a man who won’t get in fear as it is for God to deal with a man who won’t get in faith

a.      He tried to kill Jesus over and over again but couldn’t do it

b.      He tried to kill the three Hebrews but couldn’t do it

c.      He tried to kill Apostle John by boiling in oil, but he couldn’t

d.      He tried to kill David with Goliath, but couldn’t do it

2.      A man that gets in fear works right into his plan

a.      Job worked into his plan

b.      Peter worked into his plan

3.      Satan has a hard time with a fellow who refuses to fear because that guy gives him no place (Ephesians 4:28, 1 Peter 5:6-7, Philippians 1:28)

II.     Why God hates fear so much?

A.    God hates fear and unbelief-Revelation 21:7-8

1.      7-God likes winning

a.      The fearful and unbelieving can’t win because they have no anointing

2.      We see fear and unbelief together, the way we saw faith and love together

3.      Fear keeps some bad company

a.      God feels about fear and unbelief the way he feels about all the rest of that wicked stuff: HE HATES IT

b.      Fear is wicked/twisted and God hates it (Psalm 45:7)

B.     Why is God so against fear?

1.      To be in fear you must be out of love (1 John 4:18)

2.      Fear is faith in the enemy and w/o faith it’s impossible to please God (Heb 11:6)

3.      Fear shuts the anointing of and leads to oppression (Rev 21:7-God likes winning)

C.    Satan’s whole kingdom runs on his ability to get you into fear (which would be out of love and out of faith) where the anointing cannot work

1.      Satan is fear and in his kingdom the currency is fear

a.      His kingdom advancing is dependent on the anointing not working and fear is what turns the anointing off 

b.      God is love and in his kingdom the currency is faith working by love

2.      Satan has no answer for the anointing (1 John 4:3-4, Acts 10:38)

D.    We must not treat fear as a light thing; it’s no light thing to God

1.      Fear as a apart of your vocabulary is abominable in His eyes-NEVER TALK FEAR

2.      I hate fear because God hates it

a.      It’s dishonorable to treat lightly what God hates

E.     You don’t tolerate fear, deal with fear, or learn to cope with fear

1.      Perfected love (God himself) throws fear out the doors and does not care where it lands (1 John 4:18)
