Faith Revealed
I.
Apart from faith there is no victory and we have no means of
success (1 Jn 5:4)
A. People who don’t know
and apply the principles of faith will not live in victory
B. Every victory in life is
given as an act of grace that flowed through your faith
II. What is faith? What
exactly are we supposed to believe?
A. Faith is perceiving as
real fact what’s not yet revealed to the senses (Heb
11:1)
B. Faith level-(1) Believing in God- His Reality (2) Believing God
can-His Ability (3) Believing God will-His Willingness (4) Believing
God has done it and he’s offering it-His Grace/Faith (5) Believing
you have received-Receiving
C. It didn’t say believe God
can or God will and you’ll receive (Mark 11:24)
III. Two deceptions where faith is concerned
A. People putting off till
tomorrow what God said put on today
1. As long as you believe
something is going to happen you haven’t believed you’ve received anything; you
believe you’re going to receive (Prov 23:7)
2. To believe you’re going
to be something you have to believe you’re not; To believe you’re going to have
something you have believe that you don’t
B. People asking for things
that God’s already offering; so instead of believing that they have received it
they’re asking for it
1. This is a grace-faith
system and everything that you receive from God will be given by grace and
received through faith (Rom 4:16, 5:2, Eph 2:8)
2. The picture we’ve had is
that God has it and we don’t and we got to ask Him for it because He’s not
offering it
a. 2 Peter 1:4-Why are we
asking for that which is being offered or given?
b. Ephesians 1:3, Galatians
3:13, 1 John 4:17
c. You are a joint heir with
Jesus (Rom 8:17, John 16:15, Luke 15)
1) You don’t ask for your
inheritance; you do what’s necessary to receive
3. Your were saved by grace
through faith (Eph 2:8, Rom 10:8-10)
a. You didn’t work to earn
salvation; Jesus offered it to you by grace and you had to receive through
faith
b. You can believe God can
save, will save, is offering salvation, & die & go to hell
c. You didn’t ask for
salvation; you placed a demand on the salvation that God was offering
d. You didn’t confess he was
going to be your Lord
4. John 15:7,16:23-Ask (Aieto) – To be adamant in requesting and demanding
assistance to meet tangible needs, to demand, insist, require, call for
a. You place a demand on it
and take it by believing you have received
b. When you believe that you
have received faith begins to pull on/demand what’s yours in the unseen to
manifest it in the seen
c. EX-Withdraw from the bank
d. Mark 11:24-What things
you ask believe that you take them
