Kingdom Ambassadors

FOUNDATION STATEMENT:  As believers we are ambassadors are called to the “impossible”, sent into the Earth, and equipped with everything necessary to carry out our assignment.

 

I.      We are ambassadors on assignment from Heaven sent into the Earth (2 Corinthians 5:20)

A.     What is an Ambassador?

1.      An envoy sent to represent a nation in a foreign land

2.      A diplomatic agent of the highest rank endorsed by a foreign government or king

3.      An authorized messenger who has the power to make decisions and to represent the will of the government, nation, or king he represents. 

4.      An official representative who is authorized to speak on behalf of his sender

B.      We are ambassadors for Christ

1.      We are not of the world (John 17:14)

a.      John 8:23 – Jesus is from above and not of this world and that means even as he is from above and not from this world I’m from above, and I’m not of this world

b.      We are not from the land that we are in, we’ve been sent by God as an authorized representative to represent our King in this foreign land

2.      We have authority in the Earth to carry out the will of the one who sent us

a.      John 3:31 – He that comes from above is above all

1)       There’s a dominion mandate on the lives of believers

3.      We represent Heaven and we are here to carry out the will of our King

a.      We’re not here to carry out our will, but His will

b.      Heb 13:20-21-We are the vital part to the will of God being carried out in this Earth

1)       God’s not the one slowing up the process here

4.      We are diplomatic agents sent into the Earth to do government/kingdom business on behalf of our government and our King

a.      Once ur born again Jesus, who is king, is sending u out to represent his kingdom

1)       Jesus is the King and he’s the one setting policy and we are his ambassadors

b.      When we come to the nation we don’t come in our name, we come and do it in the name of Jesus ; I’m here in this town to take over in the name of Jesus

II.     We are being sent out to problems that are too big for our natural ability

A.     Moses

1.      Exodus 3:7-14

a.      God’s desiring to do something in the Earth, but he needs a man (8)

b.      Moses is being sent to bring forth God’s people out of 400 years of bondage into the promise land (10)

c.      Moses thought he was going by himself in His own natural ability, but God was with him (11-12)

d.      When they left Egypt the left with their stuff

1)       Not only are we leaving that world’s system, but we are leaving w/ their wealth

2.      Exodus 4:10-12 – God qualified Moses

a.      Moses gives God all the reasons why he can’t do what God called him to do

1)       EXAMPLE: God we can’t get that house debt free, we don’t have the right jobs, we don’t have enough money saved up

b.      You’re qualified when God sends you

c.      God’s going to teach you how to do what He’s called you to do (15)

3.      Exodus 7:1 – God’s wanting to exalt us to our rightful place of authority in the Earth

a.      You’re Pharaoh’s ruler

1)       Pharaoh didn’t want them to go because they were building his kingdom

b.      Exodus 5:23 – Moses is speaking for God

1)       You’re speaking on God’s behalf and when they try to reject you they’re trying to reject the one who sent you

4.      We don’t have to do it, God’s going to do it we just have to go and speak it

a.      Psalm 78:12 – Moses didn’t have to part Red Sea, God did it, Moses didn’t have to provide water God did, Moses didn’t have to provide food God did, Moses didn’t have to provided money God did

1)       Moses just had to believe it and speak it

2)       Exodus 33:1-3 – They didn’t have to drive the people out of the land, they just had to do it God’s way

b.      The only reason that people mess up is because they think they have to do it

1)       When you think that you have to do it in your own natural ability you back down from the impossible, but when you know that you’re God sent and God equipped you’ll attack that rascal with great faith

B.      Gideon

1.      Judges 6

a.      God’s people were never supposed to be poor or in bondage

b.      Gideon is on ambassador assignment from God, sent (14)

c.      He’s unqualified in his natural ability, but he doesn’t have to do it because God was with him (15-16)

2.      Judges 7

a.      God’s saying, you might think that you brought yourself out

1)       We got to get this thing so big, that when it’s accomplished u know it was God

b.      All the had to do is what God said and speak it (20)

C.     Not only are you an ambassador of God sent, but you are equipped with everything necessary that you would need to carry out what you’ve been sent to do

1.      All we have to do is what God said --- That takes the pressure off of us to come up with some plan, some idea, politic, promote ourselves, or make this thing happen

a.      I don’t have to make things happen I just have to work the Kingdom of God and in the Kingdom of God I can’t serve two masters, I don’t have to struggle to when. I can’t operate in fear, and I must trust God and live by faith (Matthew 6)

b.      I’m here on business from Heaven to say what my Father says and to do what He told me to do

2.      One of the deceptions of the enemy is to try to get you to think that you to do it or make it happen in your own natural ability without God

a.      John 8:29 – He that sent me is with me and has not left me alone

b.      I don’t have to do it, I just have to do my part (John 5:17)

1)       Matthew 6, Mark 4 – Our part is to work the Kingdom of God and then the Kingdom will work for us

2)       Joshua 1:5 – God will not fail us

c.      You are not alone you are with God & with God all things are possible-Luke 18:27

3.      We were created for miracles (Isaiah 8:18)

III.   Our King is Jesus and we are limited to what we can do and what we can say based on what He told us to and what He told us to say in His Word (John 8:28, 5:19 – He only spoke the words of God)

A.     Everything that we say should reflect the interests and the desires of the government and King that we represent

1.      There is no personal opinion

a.      When an ambassador goes to another country he never shares his opinion in an official capacity

1)       He can’t talk for himself; The only thing He can say is what His government said.

2.      The government is going to back what it said

a.      God watches over his word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12)

b.      Breach of Promise (Numbers14)

c.      Angels who excel in strength hearken to the voice of God’s word (Psalm 103:20)

1)       You got to say what God says

B.      My job is to simply communicate the position of my government

1.      Only the governments opinion is what matters

a.      I’m not in a democracy any longer I’m in a theocracy that means one God one man no confusion

b.      That removes the pressure off of me because I don’t have to think of my own answer any more and I don’t have to come up with my own strategy, all I have to do is look in the manual and see what the King said and say it to the world

1)       No more pressure just open the book and say what the King says

2)       Just say what the King said and the king will back it up
