The Mouth-Life Connection

Foundation Statement: If you fail to make the connection between what you say with your mouth and what you have in your life, your words will never be significant to you

 

I.      What you say matters because it will come to pass in your life

A.    Proverbs 18:21-According to God it’s a matter of life or death

1.     Some people who say it matters, but not as much as ur making it out to matter

2.     Is living and dying significant? --- Death and life is tied to your tongue

3.     Your mouth, what you say, is connected to your state of living – Your mouth is connected to your life

B.     Romans 1o:6-8-You got into this thing by believing and speaking

1.     The righteousness of faith doesn’t talk like something else still has to be done

a.      It says: I have the word & I can believe & speak & that’s all that needs to happen; All I need to do is believe and speak

b.      Jesus doesn’t come down, he came down; I don’t go up, I’m up

1)      Faith doesn’t talk like something has 2 happen/God has 2 do something

2)      Mark 11:23-If there’s a mountain there ask God to do something

c.      8-Faith says-The Word is in ur mouth & in ur heart-That’s the Word of Faith

2.     8-That if THOU confess-(not God, YOU)

3.     8-Confess-Say the same thing; You have to say what God says

a.      God can say Jesus is Lord, but Him saying isn’t going save you

4.     It was the difference in staying dead spiritually & becoming alive spiritually

a.      You were dead spiritually; your spirit was full of death, sin, and darkness and you were going to hell; But when you believed and spoke the Holy Spirit by the two-edge sword of the word of God, but your spirit open and emptied you of all that death, sin, and darkness and filled you love, life, and light and you were a new species of being created in the image of God and in the family of God.

b.      You were dead one second, but u said something & now you’re alive

5.     Saved-If believing & speaking effected your destiny in eternity, it would stand to reason that believing & speaking will effect your destiny in this world

II.     Believing, speaking, and seeing is a mystery of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:10)

A.    There are things in this new system of God, that are going to be beyond your human comprehension and you’re going to have to receive them by faith

1.     Mystery-Not obvious to the understanding; beyond human comprehension; the word often implies something difficult to understand, incomprehensible

2.     Satan likes to keep the mysteries of the Kingdom covered, because it keeps us from reaching our potential in God

B.     Mark 11:23-When Jesus taught on believing, speaking, and seeing he started it of with verily because he was speaking a mystery  

1.     He knows what he’s about to say is going beyond their human comprehension

C.    Mysteries of the Kingdom have to be revealed by the Spirit & although it doesn’t take Him long to reveal it, it takes time for you to receive; Mysteries have depth

1.     There are people who heard this preached and got excited and inspired without getting understanding and Satan stole it from them; they left it

III.   From the beginning there’s always been a connection between the words a person spoke and what they had in their lives; make the connection between what you have and what you speak  

A.    Gen 1, Ps 33:6-He spoke & He had what he said; What He said, He saw come 2 pass

1.     3,4-God had darkness, but spoke light and then He had what he said

2.     7-God made the firmament with His Words

B.     Mark 11:22-23, Matthew 21:21-Jesus teaches us that we can have what we say

1.     Jesus says verily b/c what he’s about to say isn’t reasonable to the carnal mind

2.     Faith and believing and speaking go together (The God-kind of faith-Gen 1)

3.     23-Say unto the mountain-You’re going to talk to the mountain

4.     23-Doubting will keep your words from having power to change the outside

5.     He will have whatsoever He says; whether it be good or bad he’ll have it

a.      There’s a connection between what a man has and what he says

C.    The Mouth-Life Connection – Your heart is connected to your mouth and your mouth is connected to your life (Matthew 12:34, Proverb 18:21, 4:23)

1.     Mt 12:34-37, Pr 16:30 What u believe u will speak, what you speak you will have

a.      33-If you’re belief is good, your life will be good

1)      To get different fruit, he addresses the tree, not the fruit; just make the tree good, you don’t have to think about the fruit

2)      4 different fruit he addresses what’s in ur heart & coming out ur mouth

b.      34-Heart-mouth Connection-What u say is connected 2 what’s in ur heart

1)      There’s a connection between what you say and what you believe

c.      35-Word-Belief Connection-What u believe is connected 2 words u hear

d.      What you put in your heart you’ll say and you’ll have; If you say so

2.     You’re going to bring things forth in your life based on what’s in your heart and coming out your mouth

a.      Proverbs 4:23, Mark 4:24-Take heed what you hear

b.      Matt 15:11-What it’s in your heart and comes out your mouth defiles

c.      What you’re not saying with your mouth will not come to pass in your life

1)      Let’s not just focus on what we are saying that’s wrong; let’s look at what we’re not saying that’s right

3.     Examples-1 Sam 17:45-They think the problem is in the valley, but it’s 1-inch below their nose; Ex 14:11, Num 14:28-They think the problem is the giants & the walls, but their problem is their mouth---Dan 3:16, Mark 5

D.    Jesus operated like this, God operated like this & we are 2 operate like this (Jn 14:12)

1.     Mk 11:12, 4:35, Lk 13:8, Mt 8:13-Jesus sees one thing, but he says another  

2.     Religion will not teach you to act like God, but when you come into the Kingdom another mystery is that you are to act just like him (Ephesians 5:1)

a.      Speaking-spirits-We were created to believe, speak and have it

IV.   Uncovering the mystery: The natural realm was created by believing and speaking and it was created to respond to believing and speaking

A.    Everything in this world directly or indirectly was created by faith-words (Hebrews 11:3)

1.     Any material things that man created can be traced back to the first material that the man used and that was created by words

B.     Things created by words will respond to words

1.     9-God created the sea and dry land with His Words-Mark 11:23, Mark 4:35

2.     11-12-God told to Earth to bring forth and it brought forth-Mark 11:12

3.     16-God made the moon and the son with His Words-Joshua 10:12

4.     2:7-God made your body with dirt that was made by His words-Mark 7:33

5.     2:11-12-God made gold with His Words

C.    Words become things

1.     Jn 1:14, Gen 3:15, Is 53, 9:6, Jer 23:5, Lk 1-God got a redeemer into the Earth words

2.     Proverbs 4:22, Psalm 107:20-Words became physical healing to flesh

3.     John 8:32-Words become physical freedom

4.     Mark 4:35-Peace was words first.  Be still was words first.  Words became. 

5.     Mark 11:12-Words became a cursed tree

6.     1 Samuel 17:45-Words became victory

7.     Daniel 3:16-Words became deliverance

D.    Manipulation & unbelief will quench the spirit of this-If you’re going to try to speak to something to see if this works, you have the wrong motive & you’re not in faith  

V.    Your world has been formed by and is subject to your word (James 3:6)

A.    Your Life (Proverbs 18:21, 10:11, 15:4)

B.     Your healing/body (Proverbs 16:24, 12:18)

C.    Your prosperity (Proverbs 12:14, 18:20, 13:2)

D.    Your deliverance (Proverbs 13:3, 6:2, 18:7, 12:6, 21:23, Ecclesiastes 10:12)
