Foundation Statement: As believers we can take the seed of God’s Word and the ground of our heart and grow the life we want

 

I.      Mark 4:11-29-A believer can take the seed of God’s word and grow the life they want

A.    There Kingdom of God is made up mysteries things beyond human comprehension

1.      They must be received by faith-Proverbs 3:5

2.      You have the ability to learn, understand, and perceive what is not understandable

B.     This parable as the foundation parable-We need to give this one more time

1.      A parables is when Jesus used something natural to explain something spiritual

2.      CEV-Jesus told them: If you don't understand this story, you won't understand any others

3.      MSG-Do you see how this story works? All my stories work this way

C.    14-The seed is the word of God-Luke 8:13-All words are seed

1.      Word-seeds have the potential to become physical things

a.    Genesis 1-God spoke this Earth into existence--John 1:14-The Word became flesh--Psalm 107:20-Words become physical healing and deliverance--John 8:32-Words became physical freedom--Mark 4:30-35-Words became physical peace (Peace Be still was words first)---1 Samuel 17-Words become his physical victory

2.      There’s power in an apple seed to produce apples; there’s power in words seeds to produce after their kind

D.    15-The ground is the heart

1.      The ground will grow whatever you sow; Your heart will grow whatever you sow

2.      Your heart assumes that if you let it in there in the form of a word-seed then you want it in your life

a.    It’s not the job of the ground to determine what to grow and what not to grow; it’s the job of the ground to grow whatever is sowed

3.      It’s the job of the farmer to determine what he wants and what he doesn’t want

a.    God is a creative-being and he created you in his image when you co-labor with Him you have the ability to create things

E.     Satan targets the word

1.      He comes immediately to get the Word out of your heart

a.    If he can get the seed, he can stop the harvest

b.    He didn’t come for you, He came for the Word

c.     If He can’t get the Word from you, then He can’t get you

2.      The pressure came for the Word’s sake, not for your sake-Lk 8:15-Fruit with patience

F.     The words that you hide in your heart will come to pass in your life

1.      24-Pay attention to what you hearing

2.      24-With what measure you mete in hearing, it will be measured back to u in harvest

G.   God’s way of doing things is like man sowing seed into the ground

1.      In the natural you have 1) A man 2) Seed 3) Ground 4) Earth bringing forth fruit of herself (only what’s in the ground can the ground bring forth) 5) The ground doesn’t grow fruit it grows a tree that grows 6) A plant yielding fruit

2.      In Kingdom of God you have 1) A man 2) The word-seed 3) The ground-heart 4) The heart will bring forth fruit of itself (only what’s in the heart can the heart bring forth) 5) The heart grows a plant/tree called belief 6) Your belief yields the fruit of your life

3.      27-That man doesn’t know how it works, he just knows it works

a.    You don’t have to know how this works, you just have to know it works

4.      27-He’s not up worrying because he has confidence in this system

a.    I have confidence in this system b/c of I have confidence in who taught it to me

II.     Proverbs 4:20-Whoever’s words reign in your heart is ruling your life
