1. Safe
A.
Free
from danger of any kind; as safe from
enemies; safe from disease; safe from storms; Not exposed to danger;
No longer dangerous; placed beyond the power of doing harm
B.
Exemption
from hurt, injury or loss
1.
Exempt-Free from any service, charge, burden, tax, duty, evil
or requisition, to which others are subject; not subject; not liable to;
2. We have responsibility where
our safety is concerned-1 John 5:18
A.
You can do things that promote safety &
you can do things that make you vulnerable
1.
It can be God’s will for someone to be safe
and they not be safe
B.
This shield is a real; there are things that
activate this shield & things that deactivate it
1.
You can’t live the safe life & not be
conscious of this shield and what makes it work
3. Key To Safety #1-Trusting God
is a major key to being safe-Proverbs 29:25, 30:5

Trust relies on God-Proverbs 3:5, Psalm 23:1

When you aren’t looking to God it reveals
lack of trust

Trust constantly looks to God in everything
for everything

Trust in God is revealed in that you look to
Him first and then only Him

Trust doesn’t try to figure out how it can
make this work

Trust commits the care of this thing into
God’s hands

Whomever you look to first & the most is
who you trust; it reveals who you have confidence in (EX: Do you look to your
paycheck, your job, medicine, ect)

Trust is not revealed by who you say you
trust, but it’s revealed by what you do

Who am I looking to? Whom am I relying on?

If I say I trust God, am I easily moved? Am I continuing?

If I say I trust God is peace present &
frustration, discouragement, & worry absent?

The shield of Faith will keep you safe and
quench the attack-Ephesians 6:16

of that shield and puts it to work

word says will keep you safe

word, being a doer of the word it’s safe

The protecting power of the Word
