It Is Yours

FOUNDATION STATEMENT: In this exchange of grace and faith, faith takes it, believes it has it, and acts accordingly

 

I.      Recognize that God is your source and come/look to Him

A.    Hebrews 4:16-You find grace at the throne of Grace from the God of grace

B.     Isaiah 30:2-They weren’t looking to God & that’s why they weren’t receiving from God

C.    James 4:2-Some people don’t have it from God b/c they didn’t go to him for it

II.     You have to believe He is, He can, it’s His will for you, and He’s offering it to you

A.    You Must believe God is-Hebrews 11:6

1.      God is to u whatever u believe He IS & what u don’t believe He IS He can’t be to u

a.      EX: If you don’t believe God is the Healer, you won’t see Him heal

b.      Mark 6:3-5-In Jesus’ hometown they didn’t believe He was so the them he wasn’t

2.      Whatever area of life you’re wanting to receive from God, you have to introduce yourself to the God of that area and develop faith that He is

a.      You can’t receive something from a person who you don’t believe does the thing you want to receive (Ex: You have to believe the mechanic IS)

3.      The enemy is always trying to distort your image of who God really is, because what you don’t believe God is, He will never be to you

B.     You must believe God can or that His power is enough-Romans 4:20, Gen 18:14

III.   Faith takes it

A.    Mark 11:24-The things that you desire that God is offering you just have to take by faith

1.      Receive-Lambano-Seize or grab hold of, to take, to take in hand, to catch, to latch on to, to clutch, to grasp

2.      To take

a.      To take with the hand, lay hold of, any person or thing in order to use it

b.      To take up a thing to be carried

c.      To take upon one's self

3.      To take in order to carry away

a.      Without the notion of violence, i,e to remove, take away

4.      To take what is one's own, to take to one's self, to make one's own

a.      To claim, procure, for one's self

b.      Of that which when taken is not let go, to seize, to lay hold of, apprehend

c.      Lay hold upon, take possession of, appropriate to one's self

d.      Reach after

5.      To take

a.      To admit, receive

b.      To receive what is offered

c.      Not to refuse or reject

6.      To take, to choose, select

a.      To receive (what is given), to gain, get, obtain, to get back

B.     Before you can take something by faith you have to know it’s being offered to you

1.      2 Peter 1:4-Find the will/word of God concerning your area of need

2.      This is a big problem; people don’t know what is being offered, so they don’t know what’s available

C.    The things you desire, but don’t have, you have to take them by faith, believing you have them, and you will have them

1.      John 16:23-God will cause what you desire to come forth (ask aiteo)

a.      What you ever you place a demand on in faith he’ll cause it to come forth

2.      Mark 11:24-When you aiteo/ask you have to believe that you receive

a.      AMP-You have to believe, trust, and be confident that IT IS granted to you; not that it will be

b.      You have to believe that you got it when you prayed

3.      1 John 5:14-Whatever we ask (aiteo) WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE  

a.      If we aiteo anything according to his will-You can’t place a demand on or require something from God that He’s not offering

b.      15AMP-You have to believe that what you desire is your present possession

D.    People are asking for things that God’s already offering; so instead of believing that they have received it they’re asking for it

1.      You don’t ask for what is being offered you take it

2.      The picture we’ve had is that God has it and we don’t and we got to ask Him for it because He’s not offering it

a.      2 Peter 1:4-Why are we asking for that which is being offered or given?

b.      Ephesians 1:3, Galatians 3:13, 1 John 4:17

c.      You are a joint heir with Jesus (Rom 8:17, John 16:15, Luke 15)

1)       You don’t ask for your inheritance; you do what’s necessary to receive

3.      Your were saved by grace through faith (Eph 2:8, Rom 10:8-10)

a.      You didn’t work to earn salvation; Jesus offered it to you by grace and you had to receive through faith

b.      You can believe God can save, will save, is offering salvation, & die & go to hell

c.      You didn’t ask for salvation; you placed a demand on the salvation that God was offering; You didn’t confess he was going to be your Lord

4.      You place a demand on it and take it by believing you have received

a.      When you believe that you have received faith begins to pull on/demand what’s yours in the unseen to manifest it in the seen

b.      EX-Withdraw from the bank

IV.   If you believe it is yours, then you’ll be thankful, you’ll be in joy and peace, and you’ll talk like it’s your now

A.    If it’s yours, then you should be thanking God for it

1.      Because I believe I have received it the only thing left to do is thank God for it

a.      Let your requests be made known w/ thanks b/c you believe they’ve been met

2.      Thanks are in order when something has been done for you

3.      Faith will shout, praise, and give thanks like it’s done before it’s done-Joshua 6:2,16

B.     If it’s yours, then you should be in joy and peace-Romans 15:13

1.      If there’s joy and peace in believing there’s depression and worry in unbelief

2.      People in faith have joy-To be glad and rejoice exceedingly

3.      People in faith have peace-Tranquil state of a soul assured

4.      What confession are you making with your attitude?

a.      Your attitude might not have a mouth, but it does have a voice

b.      Just b/c you’re not speaking words, doesn’t mean you’re not saying something

c.      The confession of ur attitude speaks as powerful as the confession of your mouth

C.    If it’s yours, then you should be talking like it’s in your possession

1.      Romans 4:17 (AMP)-Speaks of non-existent things as if they already existed

2.      Genesis 17:15-I’m calling what you are not, like you already are it

3.      2 Corinthians 4:13-If you believe you have it, your words will reveal it
