How Life Works
Foundation Statement: The law of life is
available so that the believer can take the word of God and live the life that
God has for them
I. Your life is a sum total of
the Words that you have spent the most time with; The words that you spend the
most time with will become your life (Proverbs 4:22)
A.
Words have the potential to become physical
things
1. Genesis 1-God spoke this Earth into existence
2. John 1:14-The Word became flesh
3. Psalm 107:20-Words become physical healing and deliverance
4. John 8:32-Words became physical freedom
5. Mark 4:30-35-Words became physical peace (Peace Be still was words
first)
6. 1 Samuel 17-Words become his physical victory

B.
Your life is becoming based on the words
you’re hearing
II. How does life work?
A.
Give your mind to the Word of God-Proverbs
4:20-21
1. Attend to my words-Give heed, hearken, listen, pay attention, regard
a.
Regard-To attend to with respect and estimation;
to value; to fix the mind on as a matter of importance
b.
You’re not supposed to be paying attention,
listening to, and fixing your mind on words that oppose God’s words
2. You give your mind to the Word of God through two avenues
a.
You yield your ear to it
b.
You look at with your eyes --- “Out of sight
out of mind, In sight in mind”
B.
Your mind is the gateway to your spirit/heart
Proverbs 4:21
1. The words that you give your mind to will enter your spirit/heart
a.
What doesn’t go through the mind can’t enter
the spirit
2. The mind is vital because it is the gateway to the reproduction center
of your life
a.
2 Corinthians 10:5, Philippians 4:8
C.
The results you’re seeing in your life are
flowing out of your heart-Proverbs 4:23
1. Your heart is the production center of your life
a.
The words that you send to the heart, the
heart will produce in your life
b.
Satan’s whole premise to get to your spirit; He
wants his words ruling there
2. We are to guard our heart more than we guard anything else
a.
We have to guard it from the wrong words
b.
Satan’s words are spoken in the form of a
thought
III. Whoever gains control of
your eyes and ears will take control your mind and whoever takes control of
your mind will reign in your spirit and whoever reigns in your spirit rules
your life
A.
There’s only one way into a man’s spirit and
it’s through the mind; there are only two ways into a man’s mind and it’s
through the eyes and ears
1. The eyeway and the earway
are pathways that lead to the gateway of the mind and whatever goes through the
gateway of your mind will enter your spirit
B.
The eyeway &
the earway must be guarded -Mark 4:24, 2 Cor 3:18, Heb 12:2, Pr 4:24
1. You’re not supposed to be looking at and listening to just anything
a.
Satan has worked for years to get Christians
to believe that words don’t matter and that what you look at and listen to
doesn’t matter that much
2. Whatever travels down the pathway of my eyes & ears will come to
pass in my life
a.
What doesn’t travel down the pathway of your
eyes and ears cannot enter you mind, will not enter your spirit and cannot come
to pass in your life
3. What you’re not giving your eyes and ears to, your ears to you’re not
giving your mind to and has no potential to come to pass in your life-Pr23:7,Mt13:15-16
a.
You can’t violate the law of change; people
want it outside, but don’t commit to put different words in to change the
inside
b.
Whatever you give permission to enter your
heart, you’re granting permission to enter your life
C.
One of the primary ways you guard the eyeway and the earway is with the
mouth
1. You cast down thoughts with words-2 Corinthians 10:5
2. A forward mouth and perverse lips will lead to self destruction b/c you
are sending the very words down the pathways of your eyes and ears through the
gateway of your mind and into your spirit that are destroying you

with words
