I. Ten benefits that come from
seeing Jesus
A.

accurately you can imitate the Father and the more you act like God, the more
victory you’re going to have-Eph 5:1, Col 1:15
1. How ever you see the Master, is how you’re going to endeavor to live
your life

and build you up to a greater place-Mt 16:13
1. He’s building the church on the revelation of who He is, why because
whoever He is I can be, however He functioned I can function
2. The condition of the church can always be connected back to how well
they are seeing Jesus; A person who has lost sight of Jesus (not seeing him
clearly, not conscious of who he is, not conscious of how he functions) will be
in bad condition

Him-2 Corinthians 3:16

II. Review Points
A.
People have tendency in their minds to create
a Jesus they like and one who is comfortable to live with; We must let the HS
build our image of who he is & nothing else
1. People think they know who He is and don’t so let’s be open to see more
of Him; there’s more of Him to see, there’s parts of Him you haven’t seen
B.
While we need the principles of the Word we
must never forget the person from which these principles came
1. Every principle given was given because of the love that THE PERSON has
for you
2. We got to be cautious that we don’t get so principle-minded that we
forget the person
a.
The principle is there to connect you to the
person of Jesus
3. If you remove the PERSON from the principles, the principles become
lifeless and dry
III. We are supposed to live like
Jesus, but you cannot live like Jesus if you are not seeing Him (how he REALLY
lived)
A.
Mark 9:15-When you see Jesus you will be left
amazed
1. Seeing Jesus draws you to him
2. Seeing Jesus will cause you receive him
joyfully and welcome him
B.
John 13:15-Jesus gave us the example not just
for us to go, “OOH, AHH, WOW,” but he gave us the example for us to follow it
(him)
1. Some people look at Jesus speak to the storm
and say, “OOH!” Others look at him lay hands on the sick and say, “AHH!” Some
watch Him multiply the fish and the loaves and say, “Wow!” But God is looking
for a people who after they get done oohing, ahhing,
and wowing will got out and speak to the storm, lay hands on the sick, and
multiply some stuff the way he did
2. 1 John 2:6-If you’re born again and abiding in him you SHOULD be living
the same way He lived (Even as means the same as)
C.
Matthew 11:27-Jesus commands us to learn of
him, watching how he did it
1. ERV-Accept my teaching. Learn from me. I am gentle and humble in
spirit. And you will be able to get
some rest. Yes, the teaching that I ask you to accept is easy. The load I give you to carry is light.
a.
Matthew 5:48, Luke 6:40-Disciples are
supposed to look at their master, watch their master, study their master and
then endeavor to live the same way
b.
This seeing him and becoming more like him,
this is a constant conscious process and effort where we look at him, look at
us and adjust and then do it again
c.
Some aren’t looking close enough into him
(Jesus did touch every sick person)
2. One thing that you’ll see is that nothing was forced in His life
a.
You don’t see Jesus working stuff up;
whatever the Father told him to do he did, whatever he told him to say he said
